This one has been impossible to photograph lately. He will literally tell me to go away because he doesn’t want any pictures taken. Today I caught these faces. No, it wasn’t for the my camera at all. He was just enjoying one of his LEGO movies on Netflix. And he looked at me once, for half a second – I got that. Yay!
I needed these portraits. He is turning into a little man and I want to remember it all. And I want him to remember it all.
The other day he told me that being a photographer “is not very important”. Got a big laugh out of me. They don’t have a single filter, so they speak their mind. I told him it is very important to ME. Every job is important to the person that has chosen it. He is free to choose what is important for him but he can’t tell anyone their job/hobby/passion is not important. So he apologized and told me “being a photographer is very important mommy! but I want to be a firefighter, or a train driver, or… [the list goes on]”.
At least, I still have Alice. She loves taking pictures. We take turns, but her patience is very thin when it’s her turn in front of the camera, and somehow, neither of my kids can stand still for even just a second. They are lively to say the least. Wouldn’t want them any other way.
